Welcome to the Mixed Media Blog Hop.
we will be introducing you to the world of mixed media today.
For those who may not know what it is: Mixed media uses things like
Gesso
multi medium
paint
molding paste
heavy gel

But it is as simple as using glimmer mist on a tag or
using game pieces and alcohol inks. Everyone's take on it is different.

GOOD LUCK to the winner!!
Welcome to my blog, I'm loving the whole mixed media process.
I've been taking online classes, it seems I can't get enough, lol It started back in 2010 when I took my first class with Donna Downey at my LSS.
Here are some canvases I did after taking her class
I loved the whole "drippage" (that her word) of the paint
Loved it. Talk about using all kinds of Mixed media!
Paint, Gesso, stamps, rub~ons so many things, it's really endless.

Here is what I created after taking her class
using 6'x12" canvas

Here you can see where I used modeling paste with some paint mixed into it. I used a templete to make the design.
love modeling paste! I really like the texture.
I continue to take online classes at the moment
I'm taking a free class with Traci Bautista over at Strathmore
I'm also taking an e-class with Jeanne Oliver I'm loving her class.
just so you know, I'm not getting paid for recommending any of the classes.
I have really gotten so much from them that I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you all. I want to thank Scraps to Treasures for putting this mixed media hop together.
please leave a comment and become a follower if you like what you see
I would love to hear of any classes you are currently taking or have taken.

amazing canvases and I also love those faceless girls. Seems like a modern version of an Amish tradition. Must be wonderful to be taking all those classes. I will have to try to take some soon and improve my skills.
Gorgeous projects. I love the dripping paint look too. I definitely need to try more canvas work.

Ive stumbled through to you by a Google something or other, will have to backtrack to see where I came from!
Like the idea of the blog hop too lol
Really like what youve done with your ladies!
You might look up Shelagh Folgate here in UK, she has some online classes that are very inexpensive and cross stitching thru to fabric and paper manipulation too.
Let her know I mentioned you, I wont get any rewards I assure you but Ive taken almost all her classes and it would just let her know where youd popped in from and why lol
All the best Lyn

Your work is truly amazing and inspirational! So glad I found your site and joined!
