Welcome the Card Stitch Blog Hop
Thank you to our lovely hostess Ashley for getting us together today.
She does have that great blog candy of $20.00 gift card so don't forget to leave a
comment on All the stops today.
If you came from An'Jenic's blog you are in the right place.
if you happen to just come across my blog
you may want to start at the beginning over at Ashley's blog
I was very excited when Ashley put this hop together.
I wanted to pull out my
sewing machine and get cracking. Ok, it was a total fail.
I didn't like the way the stitching looked.
I must have used the wrong thread, the stitching just looked to thin.
I almost posted the picture of my epic fail but just take my word for it, Lol
I ended up doing it by hand!
I was going to use the Sew Easy but as you can see
I wanted to go around the trees and it was to hard to use the sew "easy"
not sew easy!! LOL
Ok, I'll stop!
I ended up poking the holes myself with the needle
that comes with the Sew Easy kit. It totally is much easier to
thread the thread through the holes when you sew on paper.
I cut the trees with my Cricut, sorry I don't remember what cart I used.
The base of my card is kraft paper and the card measures 6x6
the trees are cut at 4" ( I think)
I place the green and aqua pattern paper on the back.
I did stitch around the trees with some vintage crochet cotton thread.
I personally like the thickness of this thread for card making.
I think I might have to go see if I can find some more in different colors.
it is different than embroidery floss.
I added some washi tape and some vintage glass buttons with the original thread on them.
I stamped the merry christmas with some $1.00 alphabet stamps that I found at Walmart.
Thanks again for hopping with us today
your next stop is Shelly
