I made a Snowman Ornament.
One of my favorite characters during this holiday season.
These are the things you need
*Glass Ornament medium size.
The box doesn't have the size on it.
I got them at Micheal's 6 in a box
* Styrofoam ball 2" or 2 1/2"
*Snow-Tex
*wooden toothpick
the ones I used are from the cake decorating store
*Black and Orange acrylic paint
*glue gun
*9" pc. of tinsel
*Martha Stewart Holly punch
*green cardstock
which I cut into the berries

Pull the ornament apart. You only need the hanger and the glass ball

Now take the hanger and pinch it together and stuff it into the Styrofoam ball
you don't need glue.

Now put hot glue on the opening of the glass ball and shove the Styrofoam ball into.
It does take a little force.

Now you are ready to coat the styrafoam ball with the snow-tex.
This will hold the hanger in place once it dries.

It will take a while to dry. While you wait you can do the following.

Paint the tips of the toothpick and once they dry you can cut them.

Like so. I used my Tim Holtz scissors.

Just put a little hot glue and shove the painted toothpick  it in to the head

Now your are ready to paint the face. Use the end of the paint brush
and dip it into the paint and just place the paint so that you make the eyes

and the mouth. I also added blush to his checks.
you can see that on the last picture.
I customized each ornament last year by putting the names of the kids with vinyl
I used my Cricut to do that.

So I customized this ornament too
as you can see :)
I will be putting the name of the follower that wins
this cute little guy.
I'll get to that, lol

and to finish up his little guy. I wrapped a 9" piece of tinsel and punched out a holy leaf and
cut some of the bling mesh to make the berries.
I hope you like this cute ornament and much a I enjoyed making him.
So all the blogger on this hop are giving away the hand made ornament to one luck follower.
I will be personalizing the ornament that I'm giving away!
for the chance to win
you need to be a follower of my blog
please let me know that you became a new follower

This is such a cute and easy idea. I think some snow or something in the ball would be cute too. Thanks for sharing. I just became a follower of your blog and one of the favorite gifts I've given was a box of Rice A Roni to one of my good friends. We bonded over a bowl of it one nite after a few drinks at karoke. It made him laugh. Alot. lol Merry CHristmas!

I am a new follower on the google friend network. Your ornament is adorable...I love to decorate with snowmen for Christmas.
I made quilts for everyone in the family a few years ago. It took me almost 3 years to get them all completed but it was worth it.
