The shabby chic style has been around for many many years, originating from Great Britain, where time worn items were showcased in most country homes. Today’s essence of shabby chic is to achieve that time worn layered vintage look from yesteryear by painting, distressing, dying or tea staining. Now we bring it to you right from our craft tables.
Please follow along as the following crafters showcase their handmade Shabby Chic Accents. Be sure to visit each blog, as each artist will be having a giveaway. Also, we have a couple of awesome sponsors who have generously donated for a “Grand Prize Giveaway”. Their shops are full of shabby goodness. To qualify, all you have to do is leave a comment on each blog.

Now on to my project
I made an award like pin for my daughter that turns 16 today.
She is my baby and I can't believe that she is 16 years old today!
I used the art philosophy cartridge to make the biggest scallop circle
the fridge I made with crepe paper streamer. I did a tutorial here
I did folded the fringe in half and hot glued it to the back of the doilie
I also added stickles to the inside crepe paper pedals
I used some flowers that I love from Karlas001
I did make it a little on the big side so,
I don't know if my daughter will actually wear it,lol.
Blog candy:
books text paper, 2 sizes of doilies and some adhesive
I'm so glad to made it to the end of the hop.

Oh wow, I am a sucker for vintage style crepe paper and what a super little award you have made. It definitely screams shabby! And I love that you have made something special for your DD's very special birthday.
what a creative idea! your daughter and i share a birthday...where's my award pin??? LOL
Gorgeous pin. If she doesn't wear it, it is still something special to keep.
Happy birthday to your daughter. What a great keepsake you made that hopefully will be kept for a lifetime.

Your daughter will always have a wonderful keepsake even if she doesn't wear it. Great job. Ann O.
I love the crepe paper details with the doilies! Thanks for the chance to win! cjdempsey9 at msn dot com
That is so cute and a great idea!!
I think your pin is fun and definitely girlie! At 16, I'm not sure if she will wear it either but I am sure that she will smile ALOT inside because you took the time to do it. Those teenage girls..I fostered 19 of them and they are pretty picky at that age. I do things for my 19 year old who is in college and she would show it off because she like all the comments she gets from the other gals about how much her mom cares about her..You can be sure that she will love it because of the same reason! :)
Very Cute Liz!
